Sipeed Releases NanoKVM-PCIe – IP-KVM Expansion Card with OLED Display and Wi-Fi 6

Sipeed has announced the NanoKVM-PCIe solution – an expansion card with a PCIe interface for organizing remote management of IP-KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse). The product can be used in desktop workstations, as well as in rack servers.

The new product is an alternative to the tiny NanoKVM module, released this summer. The NanoKVM-PCIe is based on the Sophgo SG2002 chip, which combines two C906 cores with RISC-V architecture (1000 and 700 MHz), one Arm Cortex-A53 core, and an 8051 controller with a frequency of 25–300 MHz. There is a neuroprocessor unit with a performance of up to 1 TOPS (INT8) and 256 MB of DDR3 memory.

The card has a microSD slot, an HDMI interface with 1080p60 video support, a 10/100MbE RJ45 network port with optional PoE support, and two USB Type-C connectors. Additionally, a Wi-Fi 6 adapter with an antenna connector can be included in the equipment.

The peculiarity of NanoKVM-PCIe is the presence of a small OLED information display with a diagonal of 0.49″ and a resolution of 64×32 pixels: this screen is located on the mounting plate.

The board has a low-profile design with dimensions of 66x57x18 mm. Power (0.2A/5V) can be supplied via the PCIe slot, USB Type-C port, or via PoE. The firmware is used with support for UEFI/BIOS management, emulated USB mouse/keyboard and USB drive, IPMI, WoL, Tailscale, WebSSH, etc. Sipeed is accepting pre-orders for the new product at prices ranging from $42 to $58, depending on the selected options.
