Sapphire is preparing to release versions of the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 video cards in the proprietary Nitro+ design. This became known at the CES 2025 exhibition. However, today it became possible to take a closer look at the updated design of this series of cards.

Images of the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ model were shared by one of the users of the social network X. The new product is equipped with a massive cooling system with a thickness of three expansion slots, which includes three large fans. The manufacturer has significantly changed the design of the Nitro+ series: the card has become more angular, and a decorative grille is now located on the upper end along the entire length of the accelerator. The backlight is also present, but it is hidden behind this grille.

An interesting feature of the new product is its back plate. Formally, the card has two of them: one, apparently, is attached to the video card with magnets. Under it is the main reinforcing plate with a large cutout for the radiator, as well as an equally interesting detail – a hidden power connector. It is noteworthy that, apparently, this is a 12 + 4-pin 12V-6×2 connector. Although it is most often found on the latest generations of GeForce RTX video cards, it is not an exclusive Nvidia solution and has already been found on other Radeon cards before.

Let us recall that in addition to the Nitro+ series, Sapphire is also preparing to release the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 in their Pulse and Pure versions. They feature simpler cooling systems and design.

AMD previously confirmed that it would reveal all the details about the RDNA 4 architecture and the Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards based on it on February 28.
