SanDisk will increase the price of NAND flash memory by more than 10% from April 1. The manufacturer announced this in a letter to its key customers. The American company explains the upcoming price increase by changing market dynamics, the expected recovery in demand for NAND flash memory, and an increase in export tariffs.

According to the analytical agency TrendForce, since the beginning of the year, the largest suppliers of NAND flash memory, South Korean companies Samsung and SK hynix, have begun to reduce the volumes of production of this type of product. Analysts’ reports show that the volumes of NAND flash memory production for both manufacturers will be more than 10% lower in the first quarter of this year compared to the second half of last year.
Manufacturers have reduced NAND production volumes to stimulate the restoration of the supply and demand balance in the market and lay the foundation for price recovery. According to TrendForce estimates, this balance is expected to be restored in the second half of 2025.
SanDisk, in turn, noted in a letter to its customers that its ability to respond to the unplanned increase in demand is limited.
