The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet has a 10.1-inch TFT display (16:10) with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for increased sensitivity modes of the Touch Sensitivity sensor. The original version of the Tab Active5 tablet has an 8-inch screen. The Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro display has a brightness of 600 cd/m² and has improved Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection (instead of Gorilla Glass 5).

The device is based on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The tablet will be offered in configurations with 6/128 GB, as well as 8/256 GB of memory. The permanent memory can be expanded up to 2 TB thanks to support for microSD memory cards.

The Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro is equipped with a 10,100 mAh battery, which is twice as much as the Galaxy Tab Active5. The battery supports hot swapping, meaning it can be removed without turning off the tablet. Moreover, the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro can operate without a battery at all, directly from the power supply. This feature is useful if the tablet is used as a semi-stationary solution, such as a mobile point of sale. The device is charged via a USB 3.2 Type-C connector or Pogo Pin spring contacts.

The Galaxy XCover7 Pro smartphone and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet support Samsung DeX, which allows you to duplicate the screen of your mobile devices on a PC running the Windows operating system. In addition, the new products received the company’s Knox and Knox Vault security features. Like the Galaxy XCover7 Pro smartphone, the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet has IP68 and MIL-STD-810H protection ratings. The device has been tested using common disinfectants and comes with an S Pen electronic stylus, which also has IP68 protection.

Another feature of the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro is an NFC reader that works through the display, making it easy to use the device as a mobile point of sale (mPOS). The tablet supports 5G (frequencies below 6 GHz, SIM + eSIM), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. In addition, it received stereo speakers with Anti-Feedback technology, which provides clear voice communication. The physical Active Key button on the tablet can be used to launch mPOS, scan barcodes, or perform other actions.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro will go on sale this month. The company has not announced the price of the device.
