The Galaxy XCover7 Pro smartphone and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet are aimed primarily at corporate clients and government organizations, construction workers and rescuers. In other words, they were created to work in difficult conditions and have features that are not found in regular phones and tablets.

The Galaxy XCover7 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, which is twice as powerful as the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ used in the original XCover7. The device has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It supports microSD memory cards up to 2 TB.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS display with an aspect ratio of 20:9, a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device offers Vision Booster settings (increasing screen brightness) and a high sensitivity mode for the Touch Sensitivity sensor (for working with gloves up to 2 mm thick). As before, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.

The Galaxy XCover7 Pro is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance (submersion up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes) and MIL-STD-810H compliant. It can withstand drops from heights of up to 1.5 m. The smartphone has also been tested with common disinfectants (ethanol, Clorox, Medilox), so it can be used in workplaces that require regular cleaning and disinfection.

The capacity of the removable battery of the device has been increased to 4350 mAh (the original Galaxy XCover7 had 4050 mAh). The smartphone supports charging via USB 3.2 Type-C or Pogo Pin spring contacts. A 15 W charger is included in the package. Unlike the original Galaxy XCover7, the Pro version is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology support. The device is also equipped with physical Top Key and XCover Key buttons, which can be configured to perform certain actions at your discretion.

The main camera unit of the smartphone consists of a 50-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor for wide-angle shooting. In addition, the Galaxy XCover7 Pro has a 13-megapixel front selfie camera. The smartphone supports 5G (frequencies below 6 GHz, SIM + eSIM), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC.

Samsung has not yet disclosed the price of the new product. Apparently, it will become known closer to the start of sales, which is scheduled for May 8 in the US.
