As expected, Samsung has unveiled three new Galaxy A series smartphones at once. These are the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G, which are mid-range models that will soon go on retail sale.

The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 feature 6.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the display area. There is a hole at the top of the screen that houses a 12-megapixel front camera (f/2.2).
The triple main camera is located on the back of the case. It is based on a 50-megapixel sensor (f / 1.8) with optical image stabilization support. In the Galaxy A56, it is paired with a 12-megapixel wide-angle module (f / 2.2), and in the Galaxy A36 – an 8-megapixel sensor (f / 2.2). In both models, the third module is a 5-megapixel sensor for macro photography (f / 2.4).
Galaxy A26
The more affordable Galaxy A26 received a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display from the developers. The panel supports Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and has a teardrop-shaped cutout at the top, which houses a 13 MP selfie camera. The triple main camera combines a 50 MP main sensor with an 8 MP wide-angle module and a 2 MP macro sensor.
Galaxy A36
The Galaxy A56 is powered by Samsung’s proprietary eight-core Exynos 1580 microprocessor, manufactured using a 4 nm process technology. The Galaxy A36 uses the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 microprocessor. In the case of the Galaxy A26, the Samsung Exynos 1380 chip is responsible for performance. All three smartphones will be available in two configurations: with 6 GB of RAM and a 128 GB drive or with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM. At the same time, the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 do not have a memory card slot, while the Galaxy A26 supports microSD cards with a capacity of up to 2 TB.
Galaxy A56
The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 are equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 45 watts. The Galaxy A26 also has a 5,000 mAh battery, but the supported charging power is limited to 25 watts. All three smartphones are protected from dust and moisture according to the IP67 standard, i.e. they can withstand immersion in water to a depth of 1 meter.
Galaxy A56
On the wave of rapid growth in popularity of functions based on generative neural networks, developers from Samsung did not leave their new smartphones aside. AI functions are mainly focused on improving the quality of photography and editing media content. For example, support for the AI function of removing unnecessary objects from a photo has been implemented. The Circle to Search visual search function from Google is also supported. With its help, the user can select an element of interest on the screen and immediately search for information about it on the Internet.
The Galaxy A56 measures 162.2 x 77.5 x 7.4 mm and weighs 198 g, the Galaxy A36 measures 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4 mm and weighs 195 g, and the Galaxy A26 measures 164 x 77.5 x 7.7 mm and weighs 200 g. All three models will receive software updates and security packs for six years. Buyers will be able to choose between different color options.
The retail price of new Samsung smartphones in the European region is as follows:
- Galaxy A26 with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM costs €299;
- Galaxy A26 with 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM costs €369.
- Galaxy A36 with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM costs €379;
- Galaxy A36 with 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM costs €449;
- Galaxy A56 with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM costs €479;
