Samsung Unveils Budget Galaxy M06 5G and M16 5G Smartphones with Dimensity 6300 Chips — Starting at $110

Samsung has announced the launch of two affordable smartphones, the Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy M16 5G, which support 5G networks. Although they belong to the Galaxy M series, both devices are actually reimagined Galaxy A and Galaxy F series models.

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy M16 5G is very similar to the Galaxy A16 5G. The developers equipped the new product with the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels (Full HD+) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. In addition, the smartphone received the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and a 5000 mAh battery with support for wired charging up to 25 W.

The main difference can be seen on the back of the case: the camera sensors are now located inside a single module, while on the Galaxy A16 5G they were located separately from each other. However, the Galaxy M16 5G is equipped with the same 50-megapixel main camera, complemented by a 5-megapixel wide-angle module and a 2-megapixel camera for macro photography. The smartphone will come with 4, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and a storage of 128 or 256 GB.

The Galaxy M16 5G runs Android 15 with the proprietary One UI 7 interface. Samsung promises to release operating system updates and security packages for the smartphone for six years. Buyers will be able to choose between versions of the device in Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black colors. The retail price of the new product starts at about $130.

As for the Galaxy M06 5G, it is a rebranded Galaxy F06 5G that was unveiled earlier this year. There are only minor cosmetic differences between the two models.

The developers equipped the Galaxy M06 5G with a 6.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. The same Dimensity 6300 chip from MediaTek is responsible for performance, combined with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM. The smartphone is equipped with a dual main camera, including a 50-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Galaxy M06 5G comes with One UI 7 based on Android 15. The manufacturer promises to release OS updates and security packages for four years. The device will be available in black and green colors. The cost of the Galaxy M06 5G will be about $ 110.
