At the very end of the Galaxy Unpacked presentation, Samsung showed a glimpse of its most intriguing new product – the Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. Featured in rumors under the name Galaxy S25 Slim, this device stands out for its thin body.

Unfortunately, Samsung did not reveal any details about the new product, only showing its silhouette in the last seconds of the presentation. A Samsung spokesperson told The Verge that the company has nothing more to share beyond what was said at the Unpacked event. Apparently, you’ll have to be patient.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to be a “thinner” model of Samsung’s flagship lineup this year, measuring just 6.4mm thin. This makes it thinner than other Galaxy phones. Otherwise, it looks like the smartphone will look the same as the rest of the Galaxy S25 line and will have similar specifications including the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. But judging by the teaser, there will be only two rear cameras.
Android Authority, citing a Samsung representative in South Africa, reports that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be distributed unevenly around the world, that is, it will appear in some countries earlier than in others. “So we will have Ultra, Plus and a base model. It will be in South Africa. There is a Slim [Edge] model that won’t be available here initially. It will be available in some markets,” said a Samsung representative.
It is still unknown when Samsung will introduce a thin new product. Rumors indicated that her debut would not take place until May. Maybe Samsung will please with an announcement at the upcoming MWC 2025 exhibition in early March.
