The Samsung monitor combines electronic ink technology with full-color E-Paper technology, so it does not consume energy while the image on the screen remains unchanged. The device supports a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels (WQHD) and can display up to 54,600 colors. The horizontal and vertical viewing angle is 178 °.
The design includes a built-in 8 GB eMMC storage device. Autonomous operation is provided by a 4600 mAh battery, thanks to which the display can function without recharging for up to 200 days (provided that the screen is updated once a day).
The device is equipped with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters for data transfer, and also supports wired connection via a USB Type-C to RJ45 adapter. There is a USB 2.0 (Type-C) connector for data transfer. VESA mount 200 × 200 mm is supported. The display runs on Tizen 8.0, and you can use the Samsung E-Paper application to update information on the screen.
The Samsung E-Ink Spectra 6 Color ePaper measures 725.1 x 420.5 x 17.9 mm and weighs 2.4 kg. The display is already on sale in some markets, where its retail price is around $1,400.
