Samsung had some surprises at this year’s Samsung Unpacked event. In addition to the main line of flagship Galaxy S25 smartphones, the company showed a fourth option – the thin Galaxy S25 Edge, which previously appeared with the Slim prefix. Samsung also indirectly confirmed that it is developing a three-leaf folding device, SamMobile noted.

Samsung did not provide details about this mysterious device, casually referring to it as “multi-fold,” but a schematic image of it appeared on the big screen when the company talked about its plans. Samsung has talked about its intention to launch the production of extended reality (XR) devices, one of which promises to be a headset known under the code name Project Moohan – it is being developed jointly with Google and Qualcomm. The company also admitted that it is developing smart glasses.
There have been a lot of rumors that Samsung intends to supplement the line of folding models with a tricuspid model. This was inevitable after Huawei released its Mate XT. There is a version that a Galaxy device with a three-section display will be presented this year – it will complement the updated versions of the already familiar Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip. Samsung did not provide any details, but if you believe unofficial information, we are talking about the third quarter of 2025. The screen of such a device when unfolded will have a diagonal of 9.9 to 10 inches, which corresponds to the size of the display of a full-fledged tablet.
