Ryzen 9000 will be $20–100 cheaper than its predecessors – American stores have published prices

Two major American retailers, Best Buy and Newegg, have announced prices for desktop processors of the new Ryzen 9000 series (Granite Ridge). AMD itself has not yet officially announced the cost of the new processors.

The start of sales of the Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X models was postponed from July 31 to August 8. In turn, the Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X models are expected to be on sale from August 15.

According to American retailers, the cost of the flagship 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X will be $599, which is $100 cheaper than the Ryzen 9 7950X model at the start of sales.

The 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X will cost $449, which is again $100 cheaper than the Ryzen 9 7900X at launch.

The eight-core Ryzen 7 9700X is listed at $359, which is $40 cheaper than the Ryzen 7 7700X, and the six-core Ryzen 5 9600X is priced at $279, which is $20 cheaper than its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7600X.
