The results of testing the performance of the latest Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors on the Zen 5 architecture in the Cinebench R23 benchmark have appeared on the Internet. The Tom’s Hardware portal compared them with the results of their direct predecessors – Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X and Ryzen 5 7600X.
The Ryzen 9 9900X is a 12-core processor clocked at 4.4 to 5.6 GHz, the Ryzen 7 9700X has 8 cores with a base frequency of 3.80 GHz and a maximum frequency of 5.5 GHz, and the Ryzen 5 9600X has It is a six-core processor with a base frequency of 3.90 GHz and can automatically overclock to 5.4 GHz.
According to available data, the Ryzen 9 9900X is 8.9% faster in single-threaded performance than the Ryzen 9 7900X and the same 8.9% faster in multi-threaded performance, which is generally in line with what AMD itself said. The eight-core Ryzen 7 9700X was 11.5% faster in single-threaded performance than the Ryzen 7 7700X, but was only 6.8% faster in multi-threaded performance. As for the younger model Ryzen 5 9600X, it outperformed the Ryzen 5 7600X by 12.6% in single-threaded performance and by 10.7% in multi-threaded performance.
Test results show that the model with fewer cores, the Ryzen 5 9600X, received a more significant increase in performance relative to its predecessor than its older brother, the Ryzen 9 9900X.
Earlier it became known that the most likely reason for the delay in the release of Ryzen 9000 processors was a typo in their name, which was made when labeling the chips.
