Roborock Saros Z70 Robot Vacuum Trained to Clean Up Scattered Socks Goes on Sale for $1,899

Roborock has announced that its long-awaited Saros Z70 robot vacuum cleaner is now available for pre-order. The model is equipped with a robotic arm and costs a hefty $1,899. To partially offset the cost, Roborock is offering a second robot vacuum cleaner as a gift.

Roborock has managed to deprive iRobot of its title as the market leader in terms of sales in units and money, according to IDC analysts. According to the results of the fourth quarter, Roborock occupied 16% of the world market, while iRobot, which is going through difficult times, got only 13.7%; Ecovacs came in third with 13.5%.

Roborock Saros Z70 was presented at CES 2025 – this is the world’s first mass-market model with a robotic arm. The robot is able to detect small objects on the floor, such as socks, napkins and slippers, and with the help of a manipulator extending from the body, pick them up from the floor and put them in a designated place or simply put them aside. This allows the robot to clean more efficiently.

The strong points of the Saros Z70 are also the suction power (the created vacuum) of 22,000 Pa and the new Roborock StarSight navigation system, which combines data from 3D sensors and cameras with machine learning algorithms – the robot detects and avoids obstacles. Roborock Saros Z70 is equipped with the AdaptiLift chassis, which debuted in the Qrevo Curv model. The robot can climb and overcome a high transition between rooms; there are vacuuming and floor washing modes; there is a multifunctional docking station that cleans dual rotating nozzles, fills the water tank and empties the dust container.

Those who pre-order the Saros Z70 are offered another robot vacuum cleaner as a gift – you can choose one of eight models: models with dry and wet cleaning and two new ones, including the Qrevo S5V – a cut-down version of the Qrevo Curv without the AdaptiLift chassis, as well as the Q10 S5 Plus – a less functional version of the Qrevo Edge. You can also get a free Dyad Pro Combo model with an original price tag of $659.99.
