Realme Unveils Lunar Smartphone — P3 Ultra With Unique Design, Dimensity 8350 Ultra, Priced From $312

Realme has announced the Realme P3 Ultra smartphone, the first in its Ultra series. It is also the first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra processor. In addition, one version of the new product offers a very unusual design inspired by the Moon.

Realme P3 Ultra features a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2800 × 1272 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 1500 cd / m². The display supports PWM brightness adjustment with a high frequency of 3840 Hz, provides 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and displays 1.07 billion shades of color, and also features narrow bezels of 1.6 mm thickness. Durable Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is used to protect it from scratches. The display also has a fingerprint scanner built into the display.

The eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra processor used in the smartphone is almost no different from the original Dimensity 8350, supports frequencies up to 3.35 GHz, is equipped with a Mali-G615 MC6 graphics accelerator and is manufactured using a 4-nm process technology. The smartphone comes with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a UFS 3.1 flash drive with a capacity of 128 or 256 GB.

On the back panel there is a main 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.56″ Sony IMX896 sensor, an equivalent focal length (EFL) of 24 mm, an f/1.8 aperture, and support for optical stabilization. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel camera with ultra-wide-angle optics (EFL 16 mm, f/2.2 aperture). For taking selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front camera with a Sony IMX480 sensor and optics with an f/2.45 aperture.

The smartphone’s autonomy is provided by a 6000 mAh battery with fast wired charging SuperVOOC with a power of 80 W. In terms of protection against moisture and dust, the device complies with IP66, IP68 and IP69 standards. The smartphone is also equipped with stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification.

Realme P3 Ultra comes in three colors: Glowing Lunar White, Neptune Blue, and Orion Red. The Neptune Blue and Orion Red versions have a faux leather back panel, while the Glowing Lunar White model has a back panel with a shimmering micro-relief texture similar to the lunar surface, with a green halo that glows in the dark.

Pre-orders for the Realme P3 Ultra are now open, with sales starting on March 26. The 8/128GB model is priced at around $312, while the 12/256GB version will cost around $346.
