AMD has not yet revealed the price of the upcoming Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards, limiting itself to vague hints. It is assumed that this information will be announced on February 28, when both cards will be officially presented. However, a leaked slide from the company’s upcoming presentation hints at the price segment in which the new cards will be presented.

There are many rumors circulating on the Internet about how much the new Radeon cards will cost. Some are talking about prices up to $850, while others believe that the new products will cost no more than $750. Many assume that if AMD takes advantage of the extremely unsuccessful launch of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards (a small increase in performance compared to the previous generation of cards, shortages and inflated prices, defective GPUs, melting connectors) and sets the “right” prices for its new products, it will be able to ensure good sales and take away some share of the “green” market.

As VideoCardz reports, at a recent closed press briefing where the relative performance of the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards were revealed, AMD showed a slide that showed that the manufacturer is targeting the sub-$700 segment of graphics cards. The company wants its cards to be “more affordable.”

According to AMD, 85% of gamers buy cards priced below $700, and this is the price segment that the new series of Radeon graphics cards based on the RDNA 4 architecture will focus on. AMD also listed three other key aspects that gamers are interested in on the slide: support for higher resolutions (1440p and 4K), better ray tracing performance, and an easy upgrade process. The latter is about the cards being compatible with current power supply models. As you know, most RDNA 4 cards will use regular 8-pin connectors for additional power. However, AMD partners are also expected to offer models with a 12+4-pin connector.
