Radeon RX 9060 XT Specs Revealed: 2048 Stream Processors and 3.2 GHz

AMD is not going to give up the mid-range segment of video cards to Nvidia with its GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 models, so the manufacturer is preparing to release Radeon RX 9060 XT and RX 9060 cards. The VideoCardz portal has learned some details about the RX 9060 XT model.

Like the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, the Radeon RX 9060 XT will be offered in two main configurations: 8GB and 16GB of memory. However, unlike the GeForce card, which is equipped with GDDR7 memory, AMD’s solution will use the previous generation GDDR6 memory, which runs at 20 Gbps per pin.

According to the latest information from AMD partners, the RX 9060 XT will receive a Navi 44 graphics chip with 2048 stream processors (graphics cores). This is half as many as the Navi 48 XTX, which is the basis of the Radeon RX 9070 XT.

Radeon RX 9060 XT will receive a significant increase in GPU clock speeds. If the predecessor in the person of Radeon RX 7600 XT has a gaming frequency of 2470 MHz and a Boost frequency of 2755 MHz, then the new generation model on the RDNA 4 architecture will receive a gaming frequency of 2620 MHz and a Boost frequency of 3230 MHz. At the same time, versions with additional overclocking from AMD partners will offer frequencies up to 3.3 GHz.

A PC with the Radeon RX 9060 XT will require a power supply with a minimum of 500 watts. Some versions will require a PSU with a power of 550 watts. There is no information yet about variants with a 12+4-pin (12V-2×6) power connector. Most of the cards reported by VideoCardz suggest the use of regular 8-pin power connectors. It is also reported that the Radeon RX 9060 XT will only have three video connectors instead of four like the RX 9070 series models, which is likely due to the limitations of the Navi 44 chip.

There is no information about the launch date of the Radeon RX 9060 XT yet, but AMD partners expect to formally show their versions of the cards at Computex 2025, which will take place in five weeks. It is possible that the official announcement of the Radeon RX 9060 XT will take place earlier.
