Polestar showed a trio of electric vehicles adapted to races in snow and ice

Tuning of electric vehicles by car manufacturers is gaining momentum, since attention needs to be attracted to the products of their brand. Remembering her Scandinavian roots, Polestar prepared for tomorrow’s Fat International Ice Race ice race in Austria three unusual prototype, modernizing three models of her electric vehicles to participate in the highway in the winter track.

The suspension and wheels were finalized. More precisely, the Polestar 2, 3 and 4 models performed by Arctic Circle received adjustable shock absorbers with an external gas reservoir, and for two types of road surface there are different sets of 20-inch Oz Racing Rally Legend. On asphalt, the cars will move on the Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 tires, but for high -speed maneuvering in snow and ice, Pirelli Scorpion All Terran Plus tires are designed, containing each 300 four million spikes. Rat mudguards are installed on all wheel arches.

Road clearance is increased by 20 or 40 mm, depending on the electric car model, in the area of ​​the front bumper a rally lighting technique and a towing eye was added, a spacer is installed between the front suspension racks to increase the stiffness of the body. Sports seats Recaro Pole Position decorate the salon of all three electric vehicles. An external impression is complemented by a combination of white and yellow in the exterior.

Nothing has been reported to the serial production of Polestar electric vehicles with such improvements, but it will be useful to use their characteristic dynamics to participate in sports races.
