Oppo promises to officially unveil the Find N5 foldable smartphone on February 20, but for now it is limited to disclosing some details about the device. It is already known that the thickness of the case turned out to be minimal for the dimensions of the USB Type-C port, and the flexible display is almost devoid of a fold in the center. Now the company has reported that the phone is also extremely light.

Oppo previously said that the Find N5 would be the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone, measuring just 8.93mm when folded. The company backed up its claims with an unboxing video, which showed that the phone is not only record-breakingly thin, but also very light.

The Oppo Find N5 weighs 229g, which means it’s only 2g heavier than the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, which isn’t a foldable phone. And it’s 3g lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The foldable phone comes with a case — at least for Chinese buyers. The Oppo Find N5 itself will be available in white, dark grey, and lilac.

According to unconfirmed information, the Oppo Find N5 model will also be released under the name OnePlus Open 2. The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and its body has protection according to IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 standards.
