Last month, Oppo debuted the Find N5, the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. To attract more attention to the device, the vendor is trying to prove that its ultra-thin body is combined with high durability, thanks to the hinge mechanism.

To confirm this, Oppo posted a video on YouTube demonstrating how four unfolded Find N5 smartphones can withstand a swing with a person weighing 50 kg. Obviously, the manufacturer wanted to once again emphasize the reliability of the device, despite the presence of a flexible screen and a thin body.

It is important to note that the testing of the four Find N5 smartphones was carried out under the strict supervision of Oppo engineers, and the arrangement of the devices was carefully calculated so that they could withstand the maximum weight. The test began with a load of 10 kg, which gradually increased to 50 kg. At the end of the video, Oppo showed a girl sitting on a swing held by four Find N5 smartphones, gently swinging (her weight was not announced).

This experiment clearly demonstrates that foldable smartphones have become significantly more durable. However, the availability of the Find N5 remains very limited: at the moment, the smartphone is only available in a few countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
