Opera introduced the new Air browser, which has a minimalistic design and is equipped with tools to combat stress and maintain concentration during the day. The web browser received several curious functions, such as reminders of breaks, the need to make breathing exercises, as well as the possibility of playing binary rhythms for concentration of attention.
The developers noted that people around the world use different browsers to interact with web content, so they wanted to create not just an application, but a product, which is a stress and concentration system of attention. Opera Air has a minimalistic design with translucent topics.
The floating side panel houses a tool of reminders about breaks and the Boosts section, which contains combinations of music, surrounding sounds and binary rhythms, during the reproduction of which a person hears the sound of different frequencies. This section contains records for relaxation, increasing concentration, etc. There are also labels for access to AI ARIA AI AI, as well as WhatsApp and Messenger messengers.
The “break” function looks like a battery charge indicator with three stripes that become gray if the user interacts with the browser for a long time. If necessary, you can set the period of time after which the tool will signal the need to take a break. You can also completely disable this indication system.
During a break, the user can perform breathing exercises, exercises for warming the neck, meditate or choose a complete warm -up of the body. These activity can be performed depending on the duration of the break and the selected activity regime.
During the warm -up of the neck, you can use the camera so that the browser tells how to perform exercises correctly and reminds of the need to keep posture. You can choose a male or female voice of voiceing recommendations. At this stage, only English is maintained, but later support for more languages will be implemented.
Opera noted that the company wanted to create a separate product in which the concept of awareness was implemented. Therefore, all the mentioned functions appeared in Opera Air, and not Opera One or Opera GX.
