OpenAI’s powerful AI agents will offer sales lead sorting, software development, and advanced research. The company plans to introduce three pricing plans for the new line. The cheapest, priced at $2,000, is aimed at highly paid professionals who need AI help with their work. A more powerful AI agent capable of writing code will cost around $10,000 per month and is suitable for engineers and developers. An AI agent with a “salary” of $20,000 per month will be able to conduct research at the PhD level, conduct in-depth analysis, and solve complex problems.
OpenAI is currently discussing the initiative with investors, positioning AI agents as a new primary source of revenue. In the long term, the company expects to receive 20% to 25% of revenue from this area. This pricing strategy of OpenAI is a signal of the company’s transition to high-quality AI services – the company aims to become a direct competitor to developers of AI systems for corporate clients. The development of three pricing plans indicates that OpenAI intends to seriously engage in the monetization of AI outside the consumer sector.
