Nvidia Introduces Nvidia RTX Pro Blackwell Professional Graphics Cards for Data Centers, PCs, and Laptops

Nvidia has unveiled new Nvidia RTX Pro series professional desktop and mobile graphics cards based on the Blackwell architecture for workstations and servers. These solutions are designed for a variety of tasks, including working with agent-based AI, simulations, augmented reality, 3D design, complex visual effects, as well as developing AI for robotics and vehicles.

For data centers, the company has prepared the Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition accelerator. For desktop systems, the following models are presented: Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition, Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition, Nvidia RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell, Nvidia RTX Pro 4500 Blackwell and Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 Blackwell. In the mobile segment, the following video cards were announced: Nvidia RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell, Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 Blackwell, Nvidia RTX Pro 3000 Blackwell, Nvidia RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell, Nvidia RTX Pro 1000 Blackwell and Nvidia RTX Pro 500 Blackwell.

The new Nvidia RTX Pro Blackwell accelerators have several advantages. Nvidia streaming multiprocessors provide up to 1.5 times higher throughput and include new neural shaders. The fourth generation of RT cores provides a two-fold increase in performance when rendering photorealistic scenes and complex 3D projects optimized for Nvidia RTX Mega Geometry. The fourth generation of Tensor Cores performs up to 4,000 trillion AI operations per second, supports FP4 calculations and Nvidia DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation technology.

Workstation and server models come with up to 96GB of GDDR7 memory, while mobile versions come with up to 24GB. The accelerators feature a ninth-generation Nvidia NVENC hardware multi-threaded encoder with support for 4:2:2 encoding, as well as a sixth-generation encoder for decoding 4:2:2 H.264 and HEVC.

All models support PCIe 5.0, DisplayPort 2.1 with resolutions up to 4K@180Hz or 8K@165Hz, and Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) technology, which allows a single GPU to be divided into four independent instances, which is twice as many as previous models.

Mobile versions support Max-Q technology, which optimizes power consumption by dynamically managing unused parts of the GPU.

The first tests showed the high efficiency of the new products. Foster + Partners noted a fivefold increase in productivity in the Cyclops design environment compared to Nvidia RTX A6000. GE HealthCare recorded a twofold increase in efficiency in processing reconstruction algorithms. SoftServe stated that 96 GB of memory in Nvidia RTX Pro Workstation Edition increases productivity when working with Llama 3.3-70B, Mixtral 8x7b and the NVIDIA Omniverse platform by three times.

The Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition and Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition professional graphics cards will be available through global distribution partners such as PNY and TD SYNNEX in April. They will be available from BOXX, Dell, HP Inc., Lambda, and Lenovo in May. The Nvidia RTX Pro 5000, RTX Pro 4500, and RTX Pro 4000 Blackwell will be available this summer from BOXX, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, as well as through global distribution partners. Nvidia RTX Pro professional graphics cards for notebooks are expected to be available from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Razer later this year.
