Nvidia fixed microfreezes in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle using GeForce Hotfix 566.45 driver

Nvidia has released GeForce Hotfix Display Driver 566.45, based on Game Ready Driver 566.36. The update is intended to fix certain problems in the game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as to improve the stability of other Ubisoft games running on the Snowdrop game engine (the latter being Star Wars Outlaws, XDefiant, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora).

This update does not solve the problem of the Nvidia App slowing down gaming performance, as previously reported by some GeForce graphics card users. These issues are caused by the overlay and color filters feature within the app. Previously, Nvidia recommended temporarily disabling them.

List of changes in GeForce Hotfix Display Driver 566.45:

  • Fixed problems resulting in micro-freezes in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle;
  • Improved stability for Ubisoft games using the Snowdrop engine.

It is noted that the driver has not received a WHQL certificate and is not recommended for all users, but only for those who have problems with microfreezes in the specified game. It is very likely that a new stable version of the GeForce driver will appear only next year.
