CPU and GPU suppliers typically don’t set firm dates for the launch of new laptop models that use their components, as there are too many variables and companies involved to pin down a single date. However, this time around, new laptops based on Intel Arrow Lake and AMD Strix Point processors are expected to hit shelves.
At the time of the announcement of the RTX 50-series discrete mobile graphics cards, Nvidia said that new laptops with these cards would start shipping in March. However, Nvidia has now confirmed that some models will be available for pre-order as early as February 25, about two weeks from now.
Some retailers have already started adding new laptop models to their databases, but pre-orders for them are not yet open. For example, Finnish retailer Gigantti reported that the price of the Asus ROG Zephyrus 16 gaming laptop with a Core Ultra 9 285H processor and an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card will be €3,799. The version with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor is priced at €3,499. The retailer also confirms that it will begin accepting pre-orders for these systems from February 25.
It should be clarified that this is only about the start date for pre-orders for laptops with RTX 50-series graphics. It is unknown when exactly the new systems will start arriving to gamers.
Nvidia previously announced that laptops with GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti graphics will be available in March, with models with RTX 5070 graphics cards expected in April. The new laptops will be released by Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Mechrevo, MSI, and Razer.
