Number of Windows PC models powered by Qualcomm Arm processors has tripled since May

Quite influential companies have been trying to break the hegemony of x86-compatible architecture in the consumer PC segment for several years in a row, and Qualcomm management at a recent quarterly conference stated that the number of computer models based on Arm-compatible Snapdragon X Plus processors has increased compared to May of this year from 20 up to 58 pieces.

In other words, in about six months, the range of Windows personal computers based on Qualcomm Arm-based processors has nearly tripled. Of course, the presence of certain laptop models on the market does not guarantee high sales volumes, but expanding the choice will at least reduce prices for end consumers, since the first laptops of this class were very expensive.

Of course, against the backdrop of hundreds of laptop models based on x86-compatible Intel and AMD processors that appear on the market every year, several dozen carriers of Qualcomm processors seem to be a rather modest amount, but for a relatively young and specific platform this is already a great success. The high performance and good battery life offered by laptops powered by the new generation of Arm-compatible processors tend to pale in comparison to the software compatibility issues that still persist.
