The Nothing company, under its budget brand CMF, has introduced the Phone 2 Pro smartphone. The new product has retained the unconventional style of the original CMF Phone 1, but at the same time received a number of improvements, including a more advanced camera, a more powerful hardware platform, an improved screen, and more.

The back cover is still removable, making it much easier to replace the battery or the cover itself if necessary. There is support for interchangeable accessories such as straps and stands, which are securely screwed to the back panel. There are also now removable camera lenses: one for macro photography, and one for a classic fisheye.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro has a 6.77-inch screen (0.1 inches larger than its predecessor) with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The new product’s screen boasts 10-bit color and HDR10+ support. The typical brightness is 1300 cd/m², and the peak is 3000 cd/m². PWM brightness control with a frequency of 2160 Hz is supported. The display is protected by Panda Glass.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, an overclocked version of the chip found in last year’s Phone 1, with a 10% faster CPU and 5% faster GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. There’s a microSD card slot. The handset ships with Nothing OS 3.2, based on Android 15, and promises three major OS updates, plus security patches for six years after launch.
The smartphone has IP54 dust and moisture protection (last year’s model only had IP52). The phone is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 185 g, making it slightly thinner and lighter than the original (8.2 mm and 197 g). Four color options are offered at the start of sales: white, black, light green, and orange. The new product’s battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports 33 W charging.
One of the most common complaints about the original CMF Phone 1 was the lack of NFC – the new Phone 2 Pro has fixed this shortcoming, so the smartphone allows contactless payments.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at €250 for the 8/128GB model, with €280 for the version with twice the storage. The 256GB version will also be available in the US for $280. Pre-orders begin today, with sales scheduled for May 6.
The fisheye and macro lenses will cost €35. The universal case is available for €25, and the wallet stand is available for €35. A set of the case, wallet stand, and one lens will cost €45.
