Reliable information source OnLeaks has posted Google marketing materials on the Internet with a detailed overview of the characteristics and functions of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold smartphones. All phones come with free access to Google’s Gemini Advanced AI model for one year and a seven-year cycle of security and Pixel feature updates. And also all new products will receive an SOS function with alerts about crisis situations.
Judging by the published table, the base Pixel 9 will have a 6.3-inch display and 12 GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro may come in 6.3- and 6.8-inch screens with 16 GB of RAM. The foldable Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be equipped with 6.3-inch external and 8-inch foldable displays and 16 GB of RAM. It is expected that all devices will be built on the new Google G4 Tensor chip.
The base Pixel 9 will have a 10.5-megapixel front camera and a block of two rear cameras – a 50-megapixel wide-angle and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle. The Pixel 9 Pro will feature a 42MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a 10MP selfie camera, a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera.
In addition to Google’s Gemini AI assistant and Circle to Search, the Pixel 9 lineup is rumored to also feature screenshot search. The ad copy in one of the images claims that the Pixel Screenshots feature will “help you save information you want to remember later, like event locations and more.”
With leaks like these, it looks like there won’t be any surprises at Google’s hardware event on August 13th. After all, Google itself, tired of leaks, has already demonstrated what its new phones will look like.
