MSI Releases PRO B650-A WIFI Motherboard

MSI has introduced the PRO B650-A WIFI, an entry-level feature-rich motherboard with Socket AM5. The new product is made in the usual ATX format and is built on the basis of a six-layer PCB.

The MSI PRO B650-A WIFI board is equipped with heatsinks for all three M.2 slots for NVMe drives with PCIe 4.0. The board received a 17-phase VRM power subsystem with a 14+2+1 phase scheme and two 8-pin EPS power connectors for the processor. This configuration will be enough to power even flagship Ryzen 9 processors with a nominal TDP of 170 W.

The new product is equipped with four DDR5 connectors, one PCI-Express 4.0 x16, Realtek ALC4080 audio codec, USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port (20 Gbps), three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps), four USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 Gbps), as well as several internal USB 3.2 and USB 2.0. In addition, the board received one HDMI and DisplayPort video output.

Wired networking capabilities of the new product are provided by a 2.5-gigabit Realtek 8125B controller. The AMD/Mediatek WLAN module is responsible for supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless standards. The board also offers six SATA III (6 Gbps) connectors and is equipped with a BIOS quick update button.

The manufacturer did not disclose the cost of the PRO B650-A WIFI motherboard.
