MSI has increased the price of its GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards, eliminating models with a recommended price of $750 from the range. According to VideoCardz, even the most basic version of the Shadow 3X without factory overclocking now costs $819, which is $70 higher than the recommended retail price set by Nvidia.

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti went on sale about two weeks ago with a suggested retail price of $749.99 from Nvidia, making it the most affordable model in the GeForce RTX 5000 series. However, the company did not release a reference Founders Edition, leaving it up to manufacturers to develop their own variants. At launch, several brands, including MSI, announced RTX 5070 Ti models with the suggested retail price.
However, according to VideoCardz, the official MSI online store in the US no longer has cards at the original price. Regardless of the reasons – be it new duties, high demand, or the end of the promotional period – the portal notes that MSI has effectively abandoned the previously announced prices. Moreover, the publication accuses the company of speculating in the video card market.

The situation in Europe also leaves much to be desired. According to local sources, the most affordable RTX 5070 Ti from MSI is currently selling for around 948 euros (including VAT). French portal Hardware&Co notes that the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card, according to AMD, has similar performance to the RTX 5070 Ti, but its recommended price in Europe is 699 euros (AMD has not officially confirmed this information). Thanks to this price-to-performance ratio, the RX 9070 XT could become a popular choice among buyers.
