Ahead of CES 2025, MSI has announced the MPG 242R X60N gaming monitor from its popular MPG series. The monitor is equipped with a 24-inch Rapid TN Film matrix with a record 600 Hz refresh rate, providing improved image clarity in motion and lower frame latency (FPS).

Although the full list of technical characteristics of the model has not yet been disclosed, according to TFTCentral it became known that the screen resolution is 1920 × 1080 pixels, and the response time is 0.5 ms (G2G). The high refresh rate of 600 Hz is supported by Adaptive Sync technology for VRR, and the monitor itself will be certified under the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro program.

The monitor is equipped with a USB Type-C port with support for 98 W power delivery, as well as DP Alt mode and data transfer. DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI ports (probably version 2.0) are expected. In addition, the KVM switch function and support for user update of firmware are announced.

The developers paid special attention to additional gaming functions. The monitor supports MSI’s proprietary Gaming Intelligence application to control the monitor in a Windows environment, as well as technologies such as AI Vision and AI Crosshair, which help gamers in various gaming scenarios.

The monitor is expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2025, but the cost of the new product has not yet been disclosed. More detailed information about the characteristics and capabilities of the device will be available at CES 2025.
