Motorola has teamed up with American celebrity Paris Hilton to release a limited edition Y2K pink Razr Plus as a nod to the 2000s. The Verge reports that the phone will come with an exclusive case, an autograph, and ringtones from Hilton herself.
The case is made of synthetic leather, styled like a miniature handbag and complemented by a bright strap with rhinestones. The company notes that “this phone is the perfect combination to attract the attention of Generation Z, who are passionate about fashion and Y2K culture.”
From a technical point of view, the Razr Plus has not undergone any changes – all the innovations are purely aesthetic. The color of the device is close to the Hot Pink version released last year, but is complemented by a leather texture, Hilton’s autograph and her famous phrase “That’s hot” engraved on the hinge of the folding phone.
It’s worth saying that Motorola’s collaboration with Hilton seems logical given the popularity of the original Razr V3 in the mid-2000s. Back then, the phone became a cult favorite thanks to stars like actress Nicole Richie, singer and songwriter Rihanna, and Paris Hilton herself, who all wore pink versions of the device.
The model will be available in a limited edition on the official Motorola website from February 13. The phone comes in special packaging and has unique wallpapers, ringtones and notifications recorded directly by Hilton, including a reworked version of the famous “Hello Moto”.
