Motorola is preparing to release an updated line of Razr foldable smartphones, which should go on sale in April 2025. Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra will retain the signature design, but will receive more powerful processors – Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 7400X. An increase in battery capacity and a new button for quick access to functions are also expected.

According to HotHardware, the specifications will largely remain the same. The Razr 60 Ultra will retain the same 3.6-inch external display and dual main cameras, while the Razr 60 will retain a 4-inch display. Both models will feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a hole for the front camera in the top center.

One of the big changes is the addition of a new function button on the left side of the case. Presumably, it will launch the Moto AI voice assistant, but can also be customized for other useful actions.
It is noted that the differences between the two models will be not only in appearance, but also in hardware. The flagship Razr 60 Ultra will receive the top Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, albeit in a slightly stripped-down version – taking into account the features of the folding form factor. The regular Razr 60 will run on a more affordable, but productive MediaTek Dimensity 7400X. The battery capacity in both devices will increase slightly – up to 4500 mAh instead of 4300 mAh.

The new smartphones are also expected to feature expanded memory configurations — up to 18GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, with the Ultra version possibly even up to 2TB, making them some of the most powerful and capacious foldable smartphones on the market. The Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra could launch this month.
As for the drawback of the previous version, which was associated with a too noticeable gap when folding the smartphone, no specific information has been provided yet, but there is hope that the mechanism will be significantly improved.
