Motorola introduced inexpensive smartphones G55 and G35 with 50-megapixel cameras

Motorola has introduced two new G-series smartphones – the G55 and G35 models. Both have similar characteristics, but the main camera of the G55 model is equipped with optical stabilization, the smartphone offers a more powerful processor and is equipped with a more powerful charger.

The Moto G55 model received a 6.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a protective coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The screen of the Moto G35 model supports the same resolution and refresh rate, but has a diagonal of 6.72 inches . Both smartphones received 16-megapixel front cameras.

The main cameras of the devices have the same resolution of 50 megapixels; only the G55 model, as mentioned above, has an optical stabilization on the main sensor. The second camera module for both new products is the same – 8 megapixels.

The Moto G55 is based on the Dimensity 7025 chip (two Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz). You can choose from 4, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, as well as 128 or 256 GB of storage.

The Moto G35 model is powered by Unisoc T760 (four Cortex-A76 cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 1.8 GHz). There is only one amount of RAM available – 4 GB. There is a choice of 128 or 256 GB of permanent memory. Both devices support microSD memory cards up to 1 TB.

Both smartphones received 5000 mAh batteries. The G55 comes with a 30W charger. The G35 offers 18W charging. Both new products run Android 14 with the proprietary Motorola Hello UI shell.

The smartphones also received 3.5 mm audio outputs and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The devices’ fingerprint scanners are located in the side buttons.

The Moto G55 is available in Twilight Purple and Smoky Green (purple and green faux leather) colors, as well as Forest Gray (gray). The cost of the device in Europe starts from €249. The Moto G35 is available from €199 in Leaf Green, Guava Red and Midnight Black.
