Moore Threads has released a professional MTT X300 video card based on a powerful Chinese GPU

Chinese GPU manufacturer Moore Threads has introduced the MTT X300 professional graphics card, aimed at visualization tasks such as CAD, BIM, GIS and video editing. The new product is based on the X300 graphics processor with the second generation MUSA architecture, which includes 4096 MUSA cores and provides 14.4 teraflops of computing power in FP32.

The MTT X300 uses a PCIe 5.0 x16 interface and offers quite a variety of display connectivity options: there are three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port, supporting resolutions up to 7680 × 4320 pixels. The new product has a power consumption (TGP) of 255 W. At the same time, as TechPowerUp notes, despite the positioning of the X300 as a new model, this video card is essentially an analogue of the Moore Threads MTT S80 gaming video card, but with modified firmware and a different set of drivers.

The video card is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit bus, providing memory bandwidth of 448 GB / s, supports hardware accelerated decoding for various codecs, including AV1, H.264, H.265, VP8, VP9, AVS, AVS2, MPEG4 and MPEG2, as well as hardware encoding for AV1, H.264 and H.265. Considering professional applications, the X300 can simultaneously process up to 36 video streams at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second (FPS) for encoding and decoding operations, and supports output to four displays at up to 8K resolution.

Notably, Moore Threads has developed drivers for all major architectures, including x86, Arm, and even LoongArch, aiming to make its product a universal solution for various professional tasks and cover the widest possible range of platforms.

While specific pricing and launch dates for the MTT X300 have yet to be announced, its specs and capabilities indicate it could be a competitive solution for graphics and video professionals.
