Minisforum is preparing a desktop motherboard DeskMini F1FGM with a built-in mobile flagship 16-core processor Ryzen 9 9955HX (Fire Range). The new product is equipped with an AMD X870 chipset and is made in the Micro-ATX form factor.

For compatibility with current models of desktop PC cooling systems, the board on top of the processor is equipped with a special contact pad.

DeskMini F1FGM has a 13-phase VRM Duet Rail power supply (60 A), is equipped with a full-size PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for a video card, and also has an additional PCIe 4.0 x16 slot.

There is also one M.2 PCIe 5.0 slot for an NVMe drive, two additional M.2 slots (without specifying the standard) and two SATA III ports. Support for DDR5-8000 RAM (via overclocking) is declared. The board supports Wi-Fi 7, is equipped with a 5-gigabit LAN network interface and has two USB4 ports.

Perhaps the most important issue is related to the BIOS and software support of the board. Minisforum is not famous for its stable release of new software. For example, one of the company’s most discussed products – the V3 tablet (a “three-in-one” device) based on the Ryzen 7 8840U – has not received updates for a year.
