Microsoft will talk about the next phase of Copilot innovation on September 16

Microsoft intends to hold a special event in the middle of the month dedicated to the “next phase of Copilot innovation.” The Wave 2 event will take place on September 16, and will be hosted by the company’s CEO Satya Nadella and VP of Workplace AI Jared Spataro.

The event will be held on LinkedIn, and its main topic will be the business side of Microsoft Copilot products – the company, according to unconfirmed reports, is already planning to rebrand its products in the field of AI: “Copilot in Word” will be renamed “Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word”, and “ Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 will become Microsoft 365 Copilot.

But the matter will probably not be limited to just rebranding. The company may unveil new Copilot features for Microsoft 365, intended to be an incentive for companies to sign up for a $30 per month per user subscription. The feature set of Copilot Pro, a consumer subscription to Microsoft’s AI product, may be expanded. It costs $20 per month, and since its launch the company has not provided users with new features – on the contrary, GPT Builder has been removed from the Copilot Pro range.
