Microsoft has announced the introduction of an AI agent in the Windows 11 Settings app. The agent will not only be able to find the settings you need, but will also be able to automatically change PC settings based on a user’s voice or text request, eliminating the need to search for the necessary options manually.

According to Windows Central, this feature will only be available on PCs that support Copilot+ and will be able to process natural language queries. Users will be able to simply describe what they want to find or what setting they want to change. For example, if you say, “How to control your PC with your voice” or “How to change the mouse pointer,” the system will offer the appropriate solution.

If the user gives permission, the AI agent can apply the settings on its own, simplifying the process for those who don’t know where to look for a particular option. At the same time, the Settings app interface will remain the same, so users who prefer manual settings can continue to use the familiar menu.

The new AI agent will work through the search bar at the top of the application window. Simply enter text or dictate a request — the system will show the appropriate settings and offer to apply them immediately, without having to go to additional menus. The feature was announced along with other Windows 11 innovations, including an updated Start menu with a customizable Phone Link panel.
