Microsoft will close the site with wallpaper and themes for Windows – you will have to look for them in Microsoft Store

Microsoft plans to close the official web page that allows you to download the themes and wallpaper for the Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop. The software giant called this resource outdated, but the exact date of the cessation of its work was not voiced.

The company recommends users to use their own digital content store for downloading relevant Windows topics. “This page containing links for loading topows topics is outdated and will soon be closed. We recommend loading the latest tops directly from the Microsoft Store store, ”Microsoft said in a statement.

We note a clear difference between the old web page with Windows themes and the Microsoft Store site. In the first case, topics are organized in various categories, such as animals, nature, etc. At the same time, there is no such classification in Microsoft Store, which can complicate the search for the most suitable options. It is possible that later this will change and the search for topics and wallpaper in Microsoft Store will become more convenient.
