Microsoft intends to deploy LG Electronics cooling systems in its data centers. We are talking about an as yet unknown number of AI data centers that are being prepared for operation, Datacenter Dynamics reports. The partnership was announced after LG Electronics introduced an updated series of cooling solutions, combining existing and new solutions, including liquid cooling systems, in one portfolio.
Between smartphones at home, laptops at work, and smart TVs, for example, data centers play a key role in everyday life. And its cooling solutions play a crucial role in ensuring the correct operation of server equipment. LG intends to be a unique player, ready to meet the demand for relevant components for future data center projects and simplify construction with efficient turnkey offerings.
LG offers water blocks, CDUs, chillers, air conditioning systems, an intelligent cooling monitoring and management platform, and other end-to-end solutions. The company announced that it would partner with Microsoft to implement LG’s thermal management systems and cooling technology in “next-generation” data centers. The scope and scope of the deal were not disclosed.
