Microsoft again aggressively dissuades users from Edge shift to Chrome

Microsoft continues to actively advertise its EDGE browser, trying to convince users to abandon Google Chrome. This time, a software giant added a pop-up notification so that users did not go to Chrome from Edge when they need to install some additions for the web browser.

When the user works in Edge and involves the Bing search engine to search for the Chrome Web Store additions store, he is invited to launch Google’s browser to ensure the best compatibility. Now EDGE users drew attention to the appearance of a message in which Microsoft is trying to convince them not to move to Chrome.

«Enjoy any extensions without switching a browser. Continue to use to get world -class performance, greater confidentiality, productivity and value. Try it right now, ”the message says that appears in Edge when trying to go to Chrome.

This is not the first time that Microsoft realizes the aggressive tactics of promoting its own products. Advertising Edge, as well as other applications and services of the company, has repeatedly appeared in Windows 11 and earlier versions of the software platform. In addition, the software giant tried to complicate the process of choosing a default browser in his operating system.
