Meizu continues to produce smartphones, despite reports that appeared at the beginning of the year that the company had decided to leave this market. The Chinese manufacturer has introduced its third smartphone this year – Meizu Blue 20, which belongs to the category of budget devices with 5G support.

The Meizu Blue 20 smartphone is based on an eight-core mid-range Unisoc T765 5G processor, made using a 6nm process technology, with a 5G modem and AI scene recognition technology when shooting. At the moment, it is known that the device will be supplied in configurations with 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 128 and 256 GB of flash memory, respectively. There is also a slot for microSD cards up to 2 TB.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.52-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, covered with 2.5D glass. The cutout at the top of the display houses the front 8-megapixel camera, while the rear panel houses the main 50-megapixel camera with an auxiliary depth sensor.

Meizu Blue 20 specifications also include a 5010 mAh battery with support for 10W charging, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and dual stereo speakers.

The smartphone runs Flyme AI OS with AI features related to security and privacy. The thickness of the Meizu Blue 20 case is 8.3 mm. The smartphone is available in black, white and purple colors.

Meizu Blue 20 will go on sale on July 22 at a price of 1,000 yuan (about $137).
