MaxSun has released the MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 motherboard with an inverted graphics card slot on the back

MaxSun has released an unusual motherboard MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 in Mini-ITX format (171 × 171 mm) on the Intel B760 chipset, equipped with an LGA 1700 processor socket. The peculiarity of the new product is its PCIe 5.0 x16 slot – it is located on the back of the board.

The PCIe 5.0 x16 slot of the MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 board is rotated 90 degrees. In other words, it is designed for vertical installation of the video card. The board itself is intended to serve as the basis for a compact gaming PC in SFF format.

There are models of compact cases on the market that assume the location of the video card on the back side of the motherboard, but imply the use of a special riser adapter. In turn, the design of the MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 eliminates the need to use this adapter. This has a positive effect on signal transmission.

MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 supports 12th, 13th and 14th generation Intel Core processors with TDP up to 253 W. It is equipped with two slots for DDR5 RAM and supports installation of up to 96 GB of RAM with speeds of up to 8000 MT/s.

Since the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is located on the back of the board, on the front side of the new product there was room to install a PCIe 3.0 x4 connector. The board also received two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots for NVMe drives – they are located on both sides of the board. In addition, MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 offers four SATA III ports (6 Gbps).

The board is equipped with a Realtek RTL8125BG network controller supporting speeds up to 2.5 Gbps and an Intel AX211 controller with support for Wi-Fi 6E. The Realtek ALC897 codec is responsible for the sound of the new product. The set of connectors for the front panel consists of two USB 2.0, one USB 3.2 Gen1 and one USB Type-C (10 Gbps). The rear panel of connectors has four USB 3.2 Gen1, four USB 2.0 and one USB Type-C (20 Gbps).

The MaxSun MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 motherboard has already gone on sale on Chinese online trading platforms. For example, on JD.com it can be found for 899 yuan (about $126).
