Maxsun has released new video cards based on ten-year-old Nvidia Kepler chips

Maxsun has released two new GeForce GT 730 video cards in China based on Kepler generation GPUs. This architecture recently turned 10 years old. Video cards of this generation are no longer officially supported by Nvidia – the company last released drivers for the GT 730 in 2021.

«The new Maxsun GeForce GT 730 MS-GT730 PH 4G and GeForce GT 730 MS-GT730 PH 2G models are available on the Chinese online trading platform JD.com. The first is offered for about $49, and the second is priced at $45. Versions differ in the amount of available memory. The MS-GT730 PH 4G offers 4GB, while the MS-GT730 PH 2G offers 2GB.

Both cards are powered by the Nvidia GK208 GPU, manufactured using TSMC’s 28nm process. At one time, the GeForce GT 730 was produced within two generations of architectures – Fermi and Kepler 2.0 with slightly different specifications. Manufacturers equipped Kepler-based versions with DDR3 or GDDR5 memory.

Specifically, the Maxsun GeForce GT 730 MS-GT730 PH 4G and GeForce GT 730 MS-GT730 PH 2G use Kepler 2.0 architecture. The card’s graphics chips contain 384 CUDA cores operating at 902 MHz. Both cards are equipped with DDR3 memory with a speed of 1333 MHz.

The dimensions of the video cards are 186 × 110 × 35 mm. Energy consumption does not exceed 50 W. They are equipped with a single fan cooling system. The cards are equipped with one VGA, DVI and HDMI connector.
