The iconic electric guitar amplifier manufacturer continues to build its reputation as a headphone and speaker brand. Marshall’s latest offerings include two compact Bluetooth speakers with 360-degree sound.
The Marshall Emberton III is the third generation of Marshall’s compact speaker that looks like a smaller guitar amp. It is distinguished by 32 hours of battery life, as well as a dust- and waterproof housing. Together with it, an even more compact Willen II debuted, the battery of which will last for 17 hours. The manufacturer noted that both devices support the Bluetooth LE Audio profile and Auracast broadcast technology, which allows you to distribute sound from one source to several speakers simultaneously: you just need to set up a connection to only one, and it will synchronize playback with the others.
The Marshall Emberton III speaker boasts Marshall’s True Stereophonic technology for stereo surround sound. Marshall Willen II, despite its compact size, can produce quite powerful sound with convincing lows – more powerful than a similar product of the first generation. Both devices have protection according to the IP67 standard – they are protected from dust and can be located at a depth of one meter under water for up to half an hour without damage.
Marshall Emberton III is equipped with two 38-W Class D amplifiers, two 2-inch (50.8 mm) 10-W full-range drivers and two passive radiators; the manufacturer indicated a frequency response of 65 Hz – 20 kHz and a weight of 670 g; Fully charging the battery via the USB Type-C port takes 2 hours, and this is enough for 32 hours of battery life. The Marshall Emberton III costs $169.
The Marshall Willen II is equipped with one 38-W Class D amplifier, one 1-inch (25.4 mm) 10-W full-range driver, and two passive radiators. The frequency response is stated to be 75 Hz – 20 kHz and the weight is 360 g. Charging via USB Type-C takes 2.5 hours, and this is enough for 17 hours of operation. Marshall Willen II is priced at $119.
