Logitech has released a series of low-profile mechanical keyboards G915 X – starting at $180

Logitech has introduced a series of low-profile mechanical keyboards, the G915 X. It includes the full-size wireless G915 X Lightspeed model, the compact wireless G915 X Lightspeed TKL without a numeric keypad, and the full-size wired G915 X. The new products are a development of the keyboards of the original G915 Lightspeed series, introduced in 2019 year.

The manufacturer notes that the keyboards of the new G915 X series are among the thinnest in its range. The thickness of the devices is only 23 mm. The upper part of the body of each of the new products is made of aluminum, the thickness of which has been increased from 1.2 to 1.5 mm to increase overall strength. The keyboards feature completely redesigned electroplated switches. The original hook-shaped switch rod was replaced with a new POM cross-shaped rod. The new design improves overall key stability for a better, quieter typing experience and makes it easier to replace or customize keycaps.

The G915 X Series keyboards offer three types of switches: linear, tactile, and clicky. Switch travel has been reduced from 1.5 to 1.3mm, resulting in faster actuation. The keycaps are made of higher quality plastic compared to the original G915 models.

The battery life of the new wireless versions of the G915 X is increased compared to its predecessors. Without the backlight turned on, the full-size G915 X Lightspeed will last up to 800 hours on battery power. At 100% RGB brightness, battery life will be up to 36 hours, which is 20% more than the original model. The compact TKL version of the G915 X Lightspeed has a battery life of up to 1000 hours without backlighting and up to 42 hours at 100% RGB brightness.

Like the original models, the new keyboards feature volume control, G-keys, and media control keys. In addition, the new products now have support for macros, allowing you to specify the execution of several commands on one key.

The full-size version of the G915 X Lightspeed is priced at $229.99, the G915 X Lightspeed TKL is priced at $199.99, and the wired version of the G915 X Wired is priced at $179.99.

Wireless models will be available in white and black, while the wired version will only be available in black. The Logitech G915 X series of keyboards went on sale September 17th.
