A few years ago, LG introduced a portable smart TV with a built-in battery and a stand, StanbyME, and last year it released a new generation model, StanbyME 2. Now the company has announced Smart Monitor Swing, a smart monitor equipped with a stand with wheels, which will give the device a certain mobility.

The LG Smart Monitor Swing does not have a built-in battery, which makes it less mobile than StanbyME TVs. However, the stand on wheels will still increase the mobility of the smart monitor compared to stationary analogues. The stand provides height adjustment of the monitor, and also allows you to tilt and rotate it. If necessary, you can easily change the landscape orientation to portrait and back.
As for the monitor itself, it is built on a 31.5-inch IPS panel with 4K resolution support. The back of the case has several interfaces, including three USB Type-C ports and two HDMI. The stand is equipped with a channel for laying connecting cables. Power Delivery charging technology with a power of up to 65 W is supported via the USB Type-C interface.
Since the Smart Monitor Swing is a smart monitor, it runs on webOS. This means that the device has a variety of apps for work and entertainment, even without connecting to a computer. The design has built-in speakers, so you don’t need to connect speakers or headphones to watch videos or listen to music.
Unfortunately, LG has not disclosed the launch date of the Smart Monitor Swing or its retail price. However, one of the demo videos mentions that it will happen soon.
