Lenovo announced ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition laptops – Intel Core Ultra chips, OLED displays and prices starting at $1,400

Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad X9 14 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition, the latest premium laptops aimed at the business segment, at the annual CES 2025 exhibition. Both devices combine powerful, high-performance processors from Intel with Windows 11 for a personalized, AI-enabled experience.

The ThinkPad X9 series laptops are aimed at users who demand high performance combined with a new design that combines elegance and practicality. The lids of the new laptops are made from 50% recycled aluminum, and both devices have a sleek and ultra-thin profile with a grooved bottom surface.

Like other ThinkPad laptops, both new models are built with a rugged design that protects internal components in accordance with the international MIL-SPEC-810H3 standard.

The ThinkPad X9 14 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition are Copilot+PC devices. They are built on the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, which provide high levels of performance when performing artificial intelligence tasks.

There are Thunderbolt 5 ports on each side of the case for easy connection to docking stations, monitors, and other external devices. The developers have updated the keyboard, resulting in improved tactile sensations when typing. Above the screen is a communication panel, which houses an 8-megapixel high-definition camera, as well as a pair of microphones with noise reduction support.

The ThinkPad X9 14 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X9 15 feature vibrant 14-inch and 15.3-inch OLED displays, respectively. Color-accurate panels are used, regardless of whether you choose a regular or touch screen model. The configuration is complemented by a capacious rechargeable battery, providing a long period of autonomous operation. In addition to Thunderbolt 4 ports, the design includes an HDMI 2.1 connector. Wireless connection is provided by the built-in Wi-Fi 7 module.

The ThinkPad X9 14 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition laptops come with Lenovo AI Now, a proprietary AI assistant with which you can interact online. It is powered by the large Meta✴ Llama 3.0 language model running locally on the device. With the help of an AI assistant, you can perform various tasks, including automating everyday actions.

As for the price, the retail price of the ThinkPad X9 14 Aura Edition starts at $1,399, and for the ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition you will have to pay at least $1,549. ThinkPad X9 devices will be complemented by premium accessories to enhance the productivity and mobility of the new laptops. We are talking about the ultra-portable Lenovo 65W GaN Nano Adapter for $49, Lenovo X9 Charging GaN Dock for $99, Lenovo Multi-Device Wireless Mouse X9 Edition for $60, Lenovo TWS Earbuds X9 Edition for $40 and Lenovo Origami case for $60, which can also be used as a stand.
