It’s easier to remove personal information from Google search

Google has announced a number of changes to its search engine that will make it easier for users to remove unwanted personal information from search results.

Clicking on the button with three vertical dots, which is located opposite the search results in the search results, will bring up an interface that allows you to submit a request to remove information. The user only needs to select one of three options: “My personal information is displayed here,” “I have a legitimate request to remove,” or “The information is out of date and I want to request an update.”

As the name suggests, the first option allows you to send a request to remove the user’s personal information, such as a phone number, email address, home address, credit card number, any credentials, etc. After sending the request, it will be reviewed by Google, where the issue of removing the information of interest to the user will be decided. The second option is intended for sending a request to remove content that violates Google’s product policy. Accordingly, the third option allows you to update the information to a more current state.

In addition to this, Google also has a special feature called “Search results about you.” It can scan search results containing information about the user, including their phone number, address, etc. After that, the user can submit a request to remove this information.
