IPhone 16 users will have access to Apple Intelligence AI features this month

Despite an active marketing campaign aimed at promoting Apple Intelligence-powered features, the iPhone 16 introduced in September still lacks these innovations. The situation will begin to change on October 28, when Apple releases a stable version of iOS 18.1. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman spoke about this.

The report says that the said update will bring with it the feature of generating notification and email summaries. Although Gurman only mentioned this innovation, iOS 18.1 also introduces some improvements to the Siri voice assistant and adds a tool to help write text messages.

Apple Intelligence AI features are supported on iPhone 15 Pro and all iPhone 16 smartphones. They will also be available in beta on Mac computers and iPads equipped with Apple’s signature M1 processors and later. According to rumors, Apple Intelligence features will be available in the updated iPhone SE, the official announcement of which has not yet taken place.

More significant changes await users as Apple Intelligence evolves. For example, the Siri voice assistant will be able to perform certain tasks in different applications and use user information as context, but these capabilities will not be available until March next year. Other features like Apple Image Playground and Genmoji could arrive by the end of this year.
