Intel showed off a Panther Lake processor at the Embedded World 2025 exhibition. The new product was noticed by the German publication PC Games Hardware. For the first time, the company allowed us to see the Panther Lake chip from both sides in detail. This is not the first time that Panther Lake has been shown publicly. Former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger demonstrated the processor at the Lenovo Tech World event in October last year.

For regular consumers, the processors codenamed Panther Lake will be known as the Core Ultra 300 series. They will combine a new computing architecture based on Panther Cove P-cores and, possibly, Darkmont E-cores, as well as a new graphics architecture called Xe3.
The Panther Lake chip shown at Embedded World 2025 belongs to the Panther Lake-H series. These processors will feature up to four P-cores, up to eight E-cores, and up to four low-power LP-cores. The flagship processor models will also offer up to 12 Xe3 graphics cores. Processors with similar characteristics but fewer GPU cores will be designed for gaming laptops.
The Panther Lake series of processors (including all modifications) is expected to have up to 16 computing cores, up to 12 Xe3 graphics cores, support for up to 12 PCIe 5.0 lanes, and AI performance of up to 180 TOPS (trillion operations per second). Below in the table you can see all the expected Panther Lake configurations.

Intel confirmed that Panther Lake is built on Intel’s 18A process technology, which is 18 angstroms or 1.8 nm. It also uses PowerVia technology (power supply from the back of the chip) and RibbonFET transistors. If the chips go according to plan, they should appear in laptops in the second half of 2025.
